What the service is

boardfootmath.com provides free online calculators and reference material for lumber measurement: board feet, linear feet, square footage, common lumber sizes, and unit conversions.

The service is provided for general information and estimating. It is not a quote, an order, a specification, or professional advice.

Estimates only — verify before you buy

Every result is an estimate produced from the numbers you enter. Real-world quantities depend on factors the calculators cannot see: nominal versus actual dimensions, grading, defects, supplier rounding, fixed stock lengths, cutting layout, and local practice.

You are responsible for confirming quantities, dimensions, and costs with your supplier before purchasing. Do not rely on a single calculation for a material order.

For structural, load-bearing, or permit-regulated work, follow your engineer, architect, or local building authority. The site does not provide engineering or code advice.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure
• Do not scrape or republish the site's content in bulk without permission
• Do not remove attribution or misrepresent the source of the calculators
• Do not use the site for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable regulations

Intellectual property
